Would you please remember my father-in-law, Clayton , in your prayers and send his name to your list of prayer warriors. He was in the Korean war and became a Preacher when he came home. He and his late wife were Missionaries on the poor Islands of the Caribbean where they brought souls to God, built Churches and Orphanages and even adopted one little boy so they could bring him back here where he was adopted by the Pastor of Cleveland Church of God. Lamar caught a bug while in the islands and was forced to return to the states where doctors were more advanced for his care. He continued preaching when he came home and started the Good News Baptist Church where he was the Pastor until the doctors forced him to retire after passing out while preaching. He is 78 years old now and suffering from advanced Parkinson's, Diabetes and Congestive Heart Failure. The Parkinson's has effected his stomach to where he can't keep much of what little he eats down. He is tired and ready to go home as soon as God calls him. Maybe our prayers will help comfort him for the remaining time he has left here on this earth. I want to take this opportunity to THANK-YOU all for the prayers you send up for my "DAD". May GOD bless each and every one of you. Debbie
Bill and Lois' daughter, LouAnne, was involved in a traffic accident yesterday. She was transported by helicopter to Atlanta and is on life support. She is not expected to live with all her many internal and external injuries. Please lift up this family in your prayers.
Update:
LouAnne went to her heavenly home. Please continue to pray for family and friends left behind.
A fellow 8th grade language arts teacher got a much-awaited phone call this morning and was rushed into surgery for a liver transplant. This same teacher lost her husband after a long battle with cancer only 3 weeks ago. Please keep Carol in your prayers. Love, Beth
Update:
We heard today that due to some complications, they were unable to go through with the transplant. Carol is in ICU being stablized so that she can have a transplant at a later time. She's such a special person and a wonderful, caring teacher.
Please add Sherry Sanchez and her husband Ray to the prayer list. Ray has been seriously ill for several years and was sent home on Tuesday under Hospice care. Thanks. Peace, Willetta
Update:
Sherry Sanchez's husband Ray slipped into eternity at 4:30 am March 16th. Sherry said he open his eyes and had the biggest smile on his face. I'm sure he saw the angels coming for him. Please keep Sherry in your prayers.
I need the Prayer Partners to help me pray for Janet Sanford. She got right with God a few months back and now she is going through a bad time. Many problems have befallen her, and she needs help in many ways. Please pray for her Spiritual welfare, and her little girl who is 7 years old. Knowing that God will not allow anything to come to us that HE cannot bring us through. Please continue to pray for several months, because this will take some time. God can do all things, and HE will, for His glory! Thanks, Bro. Terry
A note to let you know that Tom is in the hospital with congestive heart failure and COPD. We already knew he has these conditions but he has had several severe breathing problems in the last several days. Please keep him in your prayers and I will keep you posted. Blessings, Vikki
Update:We are home from Piedmont Hospital for a few days waiting for dye tocompletely work through Tom's system and for him to adjust some of hismeds. Then we will go back and he will have a Cardioverter Defibrillatorimplanted in his chest. His will include a Bi-V wire which acts something like a pacemaker and works on 70% of the people with one. He cannot benefit from a pacemaker because of other heart complications. He has Ventricular Fibrillation which causes the heart to race chaotic and the heart quivers instead of beating. VF is almost always fatal even with the slightest attack. He is restricted from driving or raising his arms over his head, climbing steps and has other limitations. Tom's total heart muscle function is just shy of 30%. For his age it should be 65-70%. His spirits are upbeat....he is talking about shopping for new rose bushes (we will have to have them planted)....he is also admiring our flowering pear trees and visualizing how much they will grow by next spring. I have cancelled several functions that would require my time to be spent away from home and I will keep you posted. Thank you for your prayers. God is good and we are going to come through this just fine. Blessings, Vikki
Another update:Tom has returned home from hospital MUCH improved from when he went in; however, the procedure was not completely successful. His heart rejected the third wire of the Cardioverter Defibrillator that was in hopesof giving him more energy. The defibrillator itself seems to be working fine; when it senses the heart going into Ventricular fibrillation (VF), it quickly sends a strong shock to the heart to override the rhythm problem. He has some restrictions but says he already knows that he is a different person.Thank you for your prayers. Through your love we have both felt the arms of God embrace us. Blessings, Vikki
Please keep the Barrios family in your prayers as they found Christopher's body yesterday. Thank you.
Chase has been fighting cancer for the past two years. He is a 15 year old High School student. He has just recently found out that the chemo is no longer working. The only surgical option is to go in and remove all of his bowels and most of his lung, so this is not really an option. He told his mother that he is not going to fight anymore but give his pain to God. I want you all to know that he is asking for a miracle and I need to enlist your help. If each of you could add him to your prayer lists and forward this to any one else that may could help to pray, maybe we could give this fighting, young man some peace. Prayer can heal so much and so many....Thank you all so very much. Tomme
Please add Mildred L. to your prayer list as she is undergoing surgery at 5pm tonight after falling and fracturing her hip.
I have received a prayer request from a friend who asked that I send it to all my friends for prayer too. She is faced with a situation in her home that is threatening to her and her 13 year old daughter and could affect her marriage. Her brother-in-law just got out of prison for child molesting and is at her home. She is a good Christian woman, she teaches Sunday School, drives the Church bus and does every thing she can for the Lord but this situation has her terrified and she needs our prayers to help her get through this without breaking up her family. Her name is Janet. The last name is not important as God knows all about it and it also protects her and her precious daughter. I’m thanking each of you in advance for whatever you do to help us with this prayer request. I know she will be thankful also and you will receive a blessing from our Heavenly Father.God bless, Debbie
Update:
Nothing much has changed. He needs a job and a place to move into. They are struggling financially and can’t help him with money. Janet’s husband is the only family he has left as his mother and wife both died while he was in prison. With a 13 yr. old in the house, it is causing problems within the family. God brought her through so far and he will see her through this too. Love your sister in Christ, Debbie
