Update: Dear Praying Friends-Frank tires quickly, but his spirits are very good. God willing, Frank and Doris will be at the next concert on Nov. 29. He won't be able to conduct, but we hope he will have a part on the program. God is merciful and gracious. After all the prayers, the surgery on Sunday was a great uplift. They used Frank's own skin for the skin graft. Then in the next two weeks, he will return to the doctor to see how the skin graft has taken. Then the next major step will be reconstruction of the palm and bone reconstruction. All of us thank you so much for your prayers. All I can say is that GOD is the AWESOME ONE here. So may He receive all the praise and glory for the miracle He is working in Frank's life. Thank you again for all your prayers! Continue to pray for these things please: Skin graft will stay alive and free of infection. All of us taking care of Dad at home. Patience on everyone's part concerning everything! Thanks for all your love- Elizabeth, Frank's daughter
Update: hand looks so much better.....will do further surgery.......skin grafts........ and will likely go home tomorrow. e
The director of the Georgia Festival Chorus, Frank Boggs, is in need of our prayers. He was in an accident Tuesday and it sounds as if one of his hands (left I think) was severed. He was in surgery for over 6 hrs that night and the Docs had little hope at that time that that they could save the hand. I haven't had a report yet today, but yesterday he had two fingers that were "pinking up" but his palm was black. Frank has told the Doctors that they must do everything known to man for him in an attempt to save the hand. He was hit by an 18-wheeler which moved into his lane without signaling, and he remembers the force of the hit and then blacked out. Evelyn
