Update Her physical therapy is going well and she doesn't seem to have any long term side effects from the surgery. Praise the Lord! Wanda said her speech was still abit slurred but they were hoping that was from the medication. They had hoped she could go home the end of the week, but that had been delayed by a day. I haven't talked to Wanda over the week-end, but I am assuming she went home as planned on Saturday, as she seemed to be recovering quite well, thanks to everyone's prayers!
Tonya, Wanda's cousin, came through the surgery successfully. The doctors were able to remove all of the tumor. She will remain in ICU, heavily sedated through the week-end as her brain will be swelling and it would be quite painful for her. Her mother did get to see her and sit with her briefly, but now she is isolated. "The Little Warrior" woke up briefly, but they put her right back under. This family believes completely in the POWER OF PRAYER and thanks everyone for lifting the family up to God. Please continue to pray that the family will receive good news this week about the long term effects of the surgery. As Wanda updates me, I will share with you and God Bless, Lisa
I have a relative, suffering from severe head pain. After testing, Drs. discovered she has a brain tumor about the size of an orange. As of Saturday, it was determined to be non-cancerous, however, they say that the tumor still has to be removed or she will die from it because it is growing between the skull and the brain. She is scheduled to undergo surgery tomorrow. Doctor's say that she has a 50% chance of survival with the surgery. If she does survive, after recovery, the left side of her body will forever be affected. Any and all prayers will be greatly appreciated.
Thank-you, Wanda Fields
