Cody Update.......July 24, 2009
Texas says that the tumor is inoperable, and that we could try some chemotherapy. I talked to Cody's radiation oncologist yesterday and asked him what inoperable meant, he said that the tumor has returned on both sides of the brain, in the ventricles, and it was just impossible to remove it. I asked him to give me his opinion of how long Cody could live with it, he said around 4 months; maybe longer with chemo. So we go see a chemo oncologist on Tuesday to decide what can be done. I know that spinal fluid is building up now because Cody is very unstable when he walks and we have to hold on to him. He wants to sleep more during the day. But he wakes up with the biggest smile on his face in the mornings. Cody is such a good young man and I just can't accept what he is having to go through. We appreciate all of your prayers, we need a BIG miracle. I have asked to be off work to stay home with Cody and Clint just finished summer classes. We will be here with Cody every minute of the day. Gerry will be off a week in August. I will update as I can. Pat
