Cody Update......................... October 8, 2009
Things continue to be about the same with Cody, he can stay alert and active one day, then the next he sleeps most of the day. I woke him up this morning to give him his steroid and I told him that it was cool outside, he asked me "what time of year was it"? I told him it was fall and he needed to be in the woods hunting us a deer, he smiled and gave me a "thumbs up". He would love to be in the woods or on the lake or back in school, just anywhere other than where he has been for more than two years. He will be having his 22nd birthday on October 23rd, that will be a busy week for him. On the 21st he has blood work and his MRI and we will leave for Duke on the 25th. I thought that we would see better results in Cody after the second chemo treatment, but I don't see much difference just yet. We will just continue to do all we can do each day and enjoy "this" day, for that is all we are guaranteed. Thanks for all the guest book entries, they make my day. Cody appreciates all of the cards he receives, he keeps several sitting on the table where we eat, so we can read them each day. He has one that Pam's Sunday School gave him the last Sunday that he went to church, we never move it because he reads it every day. We are still expecting the miracle of healing for Cody. I cannot even think what life would be without him. ONE-DAY-AT-A-TIME........Pat (P.S. When I get faster internet, I will upload new pictures, I take one everyday!)
