Update on Cody............October 23, 2009

I have the results back from Cody's MRI on Wednesday, it says that the tumors are stable and have not grown in the two months since his last MRI, so I guess the two months of chemo has at least stopped the growth. But his ventricles continue to be prominent in size, which is why he has no balance, cannot walk alone and sleeps a lot. Today is Cody's 22nd BIRTHDAY, and he has been celebrating for over a week now with more than 150 cards. I thought that it would be nice if he received at least 22 cards, but he has been pleasantly surprised with cards every day. He has received more than 90 yesterday and today. He smiles as I read them to him and even laughs at some. There has been times when I wondered if he would live to see his 22nd birthday, but Cody is a strong and tough young man. He is blessed with prayers and support from all of you who care. We will leave on Sunday for his Duke appointment on Monday, please pray that the doctors will continue to find ways to treat his tumors and in time shrink them away. We love you all.
