Cody Update............December 31, 2009

Cody's 12/23 MRI was still stable, in fact, it had a slight shrinkage from his Oct. MRI. Doctors at Duke said that this was encouraging that the tumors were responding to the Temodar. We started his 5th round Monday night, he will take two months of it and get another MRI the end of Feb. and go back to Duke March 1st. He had some blood work done at Duke and it was okay, they had him solve a few math problems and he had no problem, then they gave him 3 things to remember while they distracted him with other things, then asked what was the 3 things and he got those right. This totally surprised us because he had trouble remembering things on the trip. He had made a BIG change in his how alert and attentive he was this trip. They want him to take some therapy to help with his balance. He has been feeling good, but is a little more tired after starting the chemo back. In about two weeks he will be good as new. Jan. 4th will be 3 years that we have faced this battle, we have had lots of "ups" and "downs", but will never give up, we are expecting Cody to be a 2010 MIRACLE. Have a Happy "Healthy" New Year.
