Prayer needed for 2 year old Jace
Recently we noticed a knot on the side of our 2 year old son Jace's head. After 2 weeks, we took Jace to his pediatrician in Chattanooga. This visit was soon followed by an X-ray and a CT scan two days later. The CT scan has uncovered a rare disease called Langerhans Cell Histiocytosis (LCH). The cause of the disease is unknown and although the disease itself is not life threatening, it is a very rare disease. Jace is currently receiving treatments at TC Thompson's Children's Hospital for LCH. Tomorrow at 9:00 am (12/10/09), Jace will have a biopsy and pending further diagnosis of LCH, he will begin his treatments. The disease is not cancer related, but the treatment does involve six months of chemo for Jace. This is certainly a difficult time for our family. Please pray for Jace and the doctors who are caring for him throughout his treatments. Pray for his little body to endure the chemo without serious side effects and that he receive total healing without any long term complications. I would also ask that you pray for our entire family as well, so that we might provide Jace the love, support and comfort that he is going to need the next few months. I would also like to wish you and your family the very best wishes for a wonderful and blessed Christmas season and a happy 2010. Sincerely Jason Denson
