Cody Update August 20, 2010

Friday, August 20, 2010

Hello to all:

Sorry I am late updating, our internet was down for about a week. Cody had his MRI on Monday, Aug. 16, scan shows that everything is still stable. No change from last scan two months ago.
He had IV treatment #12 on Thursday, so far, he seems to be doing ok from it, treatment #11 was rough on him, it took him a week to get over that one.
We have his Duke appointment on Monday, I hope that he feels up for the trip, and I hope that everything goes well. Seems like every two months rolls around quicker than you think.
It has been three years (Aug. 7) since Cody had his surgery, he has been through so much, and now with the heavy chemo and the large mass in his head, he needs prayers to keep him strong and able to endure. When I wake him in the mornings, I sit on the bed and call his name softly, and rub his back to wake him up, he usually sticks one finger up, as to say, one-more-minute, I start telling him how early he used to get up when he went hunting or fishing, he says, I wish I could.
The other morning, I was waking him, and we was talking about things, and he said: "God is in control", I said, yes he is, we could not take our next breath unless, God was in control. Cody knows that God has his life in his hands and that he will control the beginning, middle and the end of our days. Things may look grim for Cody, but only God has the final word. And we think and believe that he has a miracle coming for Cody.
Cody is always so positive, even in the shape that he is in, he can always smile and never complains.

Clint and Tara moved to Cookeville last week, it's about time for school to start for him, we already miss them, but 2 years will fly by. And, Cookeville is not that far away to visit.

Cody had a big bag of homemade chocolate chip cookies, especially for him, from his cousin Sharon, he ate two when we got home from treatment, while I was cooking dinner. I need that recipe, not that I can make them as good as Sharon did. They were good.....

I will post a pic of Cody and Jami, taken at Foothills Mall on tax free Saturday.

I will update when we get back from Duke.
