Cody Update August 25, 2010

Wednesday, August 25, 2010

Hello again, our trip to Duke was good weather and not too many delays. His doctor was pleased with his MRI and compaired it to the previous one's. Nothing has changed in at least 6 months. He said that Cody is half way through treatments, and that he would keep him on the same thing for 6 more months. I asked him, what would happen after 6 months, he said he would probably keep him on the pill chemo Temodar once a month. I just hope that the tumor shrinks before we have to go off of it.

We took Cody back to our friends dock yesterday evening and let him fish for a while. He seemed to enjoy it and even caught a small fish, I posted that picture on the Welcome page.

Since the weather has cooled a little bit, I will be taking Cody outside to enjoy the weather, we have not been outside very much this summer, we can't take the heat. He has already asked me this morning, "What time of year is it?" I told him that it was almost deer season, and he smiled really big. I asked him if he remembered going fishing last evening, he did not remember. But at the time he did enjoy it. We will keep doing things for Cody that we know that he enjoys and maybe one day his short term memory will return, along with everything else and he can start his life again.

We ask for your continued prayers of total healing for Cody, as he struggles each day. We know that as Cody says, "God is in Control".

I will update soon, especially when Cody's catches a big fish.

Cody got up this morning feeling good, except he had a nose bleed, (which is a side effect of Avastin).
