Ella Newmiller update

God is good, all the time!

We arrived home safely from NIH this afternoon. Ella, as always, was great at NIH. She enjoys being there....likely for the "prize" she gets and all the medical supplies she receives from the nurses!

The scans revealed that the tumor is stable - praise God! However, the abnormal areas that have showed up on the last few scans have gotten significantly bigger. What does that mean?

There is no consensus as to what the abnormal areas could be. All we know is that they are abnormal. It could be tumor, but there is no "pushing" of cells around these areas that you would normally see. It could be Alexander's disease, or some other Myelin disorder, but the amount of abnormal area would suggest that Ella would have several symptoms - thankfully, she is doing great and is symptom free. It could be effects of radiation. It could be anything, it could be nothing.

Since we don't have a definitive, we choose to pray it is nothing. We are not capable to understand how God is working here, so we believe what we see. Ella is healthy and full of life! And for that we continue to give thanks!

Love & Blessings,
The Newmillers
