Prayer update for Albert Davenport and prayer request for roommate

Albert had another good day today. The drs. decided against the surgery on a broken ankle right now. Because of the fracture in his leg huge water blisters have developed on his leg and there is too much risk of infection because they will be inserting pins and screws into his ankle. They want to wait a while for that. So today was the first day he got to rest and have no procedure or surgery. They removed his sedation drugs and replaced them with Adavan for anxiety - to keep him calm. His stomach is accepting the liquid food through the tube. First thing tomorrow they will attempt to close his abdomen which has been open since Sat. night. If the swelling has not gone down enough they will have to wait to do that. But if it is successful they will begin to wean him off the ventilator. Pray for success!! Also pray for the family of the 39 yr old lady next to Albert (there's only a curtain between them). She was injured in a motorcycle accident and is paralyzed and has no brain activity. They are having to make a very difficult decision tomorrow - whether or not to turn things off. I can't imagine being in the pain they are in.

Continually let your loved ones know how much you love them!! This morning I finally got hold of a Bible. It opened up to this verse. In you, O Lord, I have taken refuge. Psalm 71:1 Perfect verse for my family and I.
