Dr. Abd came by this morning and told us the pathology lab reported the nodule that was removed from the lung was mold ( I told Charles I knew he was moldy!! HaHa) and they gave him an antibiotic I.V. that lasted about 30 minutes. As of today the cultures from the fungus ball in the kidney have not come back.
We'll find out in the morning if he will have another cat scan - this will be determined by the infectious diseases team.We feel so comforted knowing that all the teams are working together to determine how to treat his problems. We are trying to be patient.
