Hello to all:
Even though it was a beautiful weekend, Cody was tired and sleepy, and did not get to enjoy it. I took him outside on the screened porch today, but he slept most of the time. I guess the chemo is really taking a toll on his frail body. He finished his pill chemo (temodar) on Thursday, so he will be off of that for the next 7 days, but he has his IV chemo on Wednesday of this week. So, I don't know how much turkey he will get to enjoy on Thanksgiving. He has not had a very good appetite for several days, but he does like his ensure milkshakes. At least that gives him what he needs to keep going.
He did ask if we were going to Church today? I told him that by the time he woke up it was a little late to make it, but I assured him that when he was feeling stronger and better we would go again, he has always attended church, and loves to go, I know that he misses it very much.
We hope that everyone has a Happy Thanksgiving, and above all, be thankful for your health, because it can be gone from you in a instant.
