| When I left Albert this morning he said he felt great! He looks great!! The surgery to remove the external fixator went well and he feels so much better without it! They cleaned it up and gave it to him and told him to use it as a decoration on his Christmas tree. I think he rested better last night than he has since this whole ordeal began. Today is day 50! On Monday the wound vac on his skin graft site will be removed so they can see how it's looking. The wound vac will be put back on but I don't know how long it will be used. Next week he will resume PT and might possibly be moved to the inpatient rehab floor. He loves watching the sun rise every morning from his bed. He has a great view through his window. I have the weekend off. His sister Shirley and some of the kids are taking care of him. It's so nice to be home for a little while even though I don't really enjoy being here without Albert. Again, thank you for your prayers. God is mercifully answering them one by one! This will certainly be a different Thanksgiving than ever before but we'll be Giving Thanks MORE than ever before!! Love to all of you, |
