Update on Albert Davenport..Nov. 4, 2010

Whew!!! The past 2 days have been stressful and exhausting as I have been going through red tape to get things in order for Albert to be moved. But Hallelujah!!, The target date for Albert's transfer is Friday!!!! Now the Friday date is not set in stone - it's the target date. There could be snags along the way, but hopefully not. Albert is still doing well. Now don't read too much into this "well". He's doing well compared to a month ago. He still has quite a bit of pain as the meds wear off. And whoever is with him spends a lot of time tracking down his nurse to get him turned on time. They have finally downsized the trach tube and he's had no problems breathing. He is still unable to have food or drink, but he gets ice. He said a cup of ice is worth $500. The pain meds make him groggy and he sometimes goes to sleep while I'm talking to him. Yesterday a Dr. told me that Albert was the healthiest man in the unit. Justin says tonight he again has our least favorite nurse- he has no personality and does very little. We had him last night too. I hope you all don't get tired of me sending these. I don't want you to forget to pray for us.
God Bless you all!
