BEATING THE ODDS!
Laying here in the hospital with major blood clots thru out my lungs
and not many cures available considering my condition, I thought I might
share some of my thoughts. Doctors have given me a 2% chance of
survival ( yea that's 98% not to pull thru and 2% to be OK) which leaves
me with the intention to prove them wrong on this prediction. I have
never been one to willingly follow
policy's/rules/or percentages and don't need to begin now. Normal blood
thinners to stop clots cannot be used as I have developed a brain bleed
from being over prescribed thinners like TPA/heparin/and coumadin the
first time around. I have had two procedures of vacuuming clots out to
no real advantage. I have made the decision yesterday to go ahead with
an IV of heparin blood thinner anyway taking a major chance that the
brain will bleed out again. As Doctors have thrown their hands up in the
air not knowing what to do, I feel this is my only chance to improve.
What else is needed is good wishes from everyone in their own way of
sending them. I for one will be and have been praying for a healthy
recovery. If all would do their own thing in helping no matter what form
they use, we can win. If you have a rabbits foot that you rub, now is
the time to rub it on my behalf. If you wish upon a star-throw coins in a
fountain-flip that lucky coin in your pocket-positive voodoo- or
whatever you can come up with to send well wishes. Post your wishes only
if your comfortable doing so as just by making them I will get the
meaning. With this huge blanket of desires and good intentions, I think
we have just raised the odds in my favor. Look for a re-post from me in
about a week thanking all of you from the bottom of my heart. If that
post does not happen, be assured that all is well and I have just moved
on. I thank all who have been a part of my life and send a very special
love to many of you. (you know who you are). God bless and look for
that post.
Praying to beat the odds, Deb
